Rules of Conduct

Discord  and Instagram Rules

Parkland Country Libraries uses social media to conduct online programming for teens (Teen Instagram and Teen Discord server). To maintain a welcoming online presence where teens can learn, share, and discuss relevant topics as well as find out about library events, and take part in library programming we ask that you abide by the following rules:

1) Be polite and respectful of each other, yourself, and the Librarian.

2) No trolling, spamming, bullying, racist comments or hate speech of any sort will be tolerated.

3) Refrain from "callouts" or personal attacks.

4) Agree to disagree should a difference of opinions erupt.

5) Protect your privacy and the privacy of others.

6) Keep things PG. Do not post graphic content, including explicit language, sexual content, and gore.

7) Do not post advertisements, or try to sell anything (however if you would like to tell us about your fundraising efforts please give us a call).

8) Do not conduct or encourage illegal activity.

 9) Use an appropriate name and avatar.

10) Agree to honour and use an individual’s pronouns.
